In the event that you miss and simply lift the leg, you can follow up with tai otoshi as Victoria shows after only one hour of drilling. Both legs now aid in the attack, with the deep pivot leg driving rotational momentum behind your opponent as the shoulders are turned and the planted foot sweeping back. No flexibility, hip lift or pedulum sweep required and you can attack far off the ceter line with an average to light pull. Fast, efficient, high probability, low risk, not dependant on athleticism or advanced footwork. Might not get you full ippon in Judo but it does put a person on the ground with ease in any situation and good for an easy TWO POINTS in BJJ.
